Relentless
The books are in and now the slipcases are delayed. I'm told they will arrive at the end of February. I am very sorry for the delay on this title. Everything that could go wrong did, and although I have redone all that needed to be corrected with the book, here we go with the slips. The crazy thing is that I went for a very simple design that was more trouble than the most complicated of my books. Again I am very sorry for the long delay on this title. The numbered edition is sold out so if you've got one on order--hang on, they look great.
Charnel House will start 2010 with Dean Koontz's Frankenstein, Lost Souls in two very limited, very unique hand bound editions signed by the author.
Another special project with Tim Powers will see an extremely deluxe edition of just 100 copies.

Charnel House will be reducing the size of the numbered editions.
Charnel House will be reducing the size of the numbered editions which will now be bound by hand creating far superior books at smaller, more desirable editions.

The unprecedented response to the new Tim Powers title, A Time To Cast Away Stones, has been very strong and it is pleasing that the deluxe treatment is preferable.
Most forthcoming titles will be offered exclusively in these hand bound editions which will go up in price as it goes out of print.

A Time To Cast Away Stones by Tim Powers is in stock and shipping.

Congratulations go to Keith Reid for the honor of having written the most played song in the last 75 years. A Whiter Shade Of Pale by his band, Procol Harum came in at #1 in the UK. Check out Keith's book My Own Choice, a selection of lyrics right here on the BOOKS page.
ODD HOURS by Dean Koontz.
The book came out beautifully. The chapter numbers are printed as a red digital read-out within a drawing of a nuclear trigger and the page numbers are also printed as red digital digits counting down backwards from the first page––Page 213––to the last page––Page 1. Here are some pictures of the lettered copies from the bindery.

Charnel House

Charnel House is a proud sponsor of The Newstead Abbey West Front Appeal – Adopt A Stone Program.

Newstead Abbey is Lord Byron's ancestral home. The West Front, which is the image most recognized, is in need of restoration. The Adopt A Stone program allows you to name and dedicate the stones of the 13th century West Front, the only surviving part of Newstead's former priory church, to raise funds as part of an ongoing program that will help rescue exquisite carvings from the ravages of time and restore the West Front.

The life and work of Lord Byron is a passion that this publisher is indebted to. Therefor, a portion of the profit from A Time To Cast Away Stones by Tim Powers will be donated to the West Front Appeal. You can Adopt A Stone by going to  adopt-a-stone.  Tell them Charnel House sent you.

A Time To Cast Away Stones by Tim Powers:

Tim has written us most beautiful gem of a story. It takes place after the events chronicled in The Stress Of Her Regard.

This novella will be a 20th Anniversary publication for Charnel House.
Scheduled for early 2009.
